Hi folks, I'm Karey!

I'm a children's and family photographer, located in Croydon, Melbourne. I don't like to pinpoint my style, other than l like to keep it candid, natural and organic. I do the least amount of posing possible. I love to photograph kids, with all of their raw emotions. Capturing their real personality, no matter what mood they are in. Connecting with people and finding their genuine & authentic selves through an image, is what l love to do. That is what I really strive for.

I've photographed many families, at all stages of their lives, along with connecting with numerous business owners to update their branding, or website and social media content. I've been been in the photography game now for 25 years on and off (so that gives my age away a bit!).

I'm the mum of one, Lennox (or Lenny) and partner to a very supportive & far more patient man, Nathan.

A couple of fun facts about me :

• I LOVE trivia, and want to apply for Millionaire Hot Seat, but l haven't as l can't think of an exciting story to tell when l get on there.
• My name was made up by my paternal Grandfather, who was into numerology (including our surname). I have actually resisted using it as my business name, because growing up it was always pronounced incorrectly. It is pronounced CARE-REE, as in Jim Carey. But if you get it wrong, l won't hold it against you! (I've been called worse!)
• I have three addictions, which l need to talk myself down from over consuming on the regular :chocolate, coffee & plants!

I have owned and operated "Verse Photography" (www.versephotography.com.au) since 2014. This is predominantly childcare & kindergarten photography. I decided to branch out through this branding to give myself a bit more creative freedom and a bit more of a challenge.
